The Artists

Featured musicians are the “Jazzamenco” duo of Wayne “Wes”Johnson and “Mito (Miguel Mito de Soto). Wes is equally proficient performing in thumbpicking, fingerstyle, and flatpicking styles playing jazz, world, new age, latin and rumba flamenca and with classical techniques. Milo is a Flamenco guitarist, composer and vocalist. Their affectionately called “Jazzamenco” duo combines Wes’ jazz stylings with that of Milo’s rumba flamenca(nueva flamenco) styles.

The Organizations

The goal of the Friends of Santa Fe Jazz is to provide increasing opportunities to enjoy jazz throughout the year from both area and national jazz professionals.

The goal of the New Mexico Committee of Women in the Arts is to enhance the mission of Washington, D.C.’s National Museum of Women in the Arts and to bring recognition to New Mexico women artists through special events, art shows, lectures and educational programs. The proceeds from today’s event will benefit the missions of both organizations.

The Place

We thank jazz enthusiast Peter Kahn at Santa Fe Realty Partners (505.946.2254 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Situated on a private 2.5 acre lot in Las Campanas, this 4,864 square foot adobe and Rastra house embodies the perfect balance of sophistication and grace. From oversized solid walnut doors to hand carved accent doors, beams, and vigas, this house is teeming with extras that no other house offers. The property is available for purchase.
