Tim Armacost and friends are a modern jazz group performing compositionally rich and very listenable music.

Saxophonist Tim Armacost has recordings on Concord, Double Time, Satchmo, and Artist Share Records and has completed tours of Europe and Asia sponsored by the likes of Northwest Airlines, Marriott Hotels, and Volkswagen. His performance and recording collaborations include projects with Kenny Barron, Roy Hargrove, David Murray Big Band, Maria Schneider Orchestra and Randy Brecker, among others.

Pianist Bruce Barth has performed on more than 100 recordings and movie soundtracks. His first two CDs as leader, In Focus and Moving Call, were chosen by the New York times for its top ten list. His many professional collaborations include Terrence Blanchard quintet, Tony Bennett, Steve Wilson, Terrell Stafford, Luciana Souza, Karrin Allyson, David Sanchez, and others, and he has also performed with James Moody, Phil Woods, Freddie Hubbard, Tom Harrell, Branford Marsalis, Wynton Marsalis, Art Farmer, John Pattitucci, and the Mingus Big Band. He is a Grammy-nominated producer with 20 CDs to his credit and has served on the panel for the U.S. Jazz Ambassadors program.

Bassist Kenny Davis has performed with Freddie Hubbard, Cassandra Wilson, Abbey Lincoln, Diane reeves and Art Farmer and was the arranger on Cassandra’s Grammy-winning CD Blue Light Till Dawn. He has also toured with Herbie Hancock, Dianne Reeves and Art Farmer. He has a masters in music from Rutgers and was on the bass faculty of UConn for six years.

 

Drummer Billy Hart is a jazz fixture heard on more than 500 cd’s and has seven recordings of his own. He is most recently associated as a member of the Charles Lloyd Quartet, Joe Lovano and Tom Harrell groups and has performed with the Three Tenors(Liebman, Lovano, and Michael Brecker). He has been a regular with Gerry Mulligan, Clark Terry, the New York Jazz Quintet, Mingus Dynasty Band, and many others.
