And what a musical story there is to tell in celebrating Billy Wallace's 80th Birthday and a life dedicated to the love of this great art form. This band is a rare convergence of jazz giants who either came up during or were greatly influenced by the golden era of American jazz. It's going to be a great night as all five members reach for the highest levels of musicianship and it is our pleasure to join them for the ride."

Denver pianist Billy Wallace is a gifted jazz pianist utilizing unique beautiful harmonies and a vast repertoire.
New York trumpeter Randy Sandke has played on the soundtracks of "The Cotton Club", "Brighton Beach Memoirs", "American Splendor", and five Woody Allen movies.
San Francisco saxophonist Noel Jewkes is one of the godfathers of Bay Area jazz
Seattle bassist Michael Barnett has been playing the bass professionally for over 50 years.
Portland drummer Mel Brown's classy and elegant style has earned him the title "The Gentleman of Jazz".

Friends of Tommy presents a concert to benefit Multiple Sclerosis titled HEALING, HARMONY, & HEART on September 20, 2009, 6:00 PM at the National Hispanic Cultural Center located at 1701 4th Street NW, Albuquerque, NM
Healing, Harmony & Heart's inaugural world-class concert will feature seven-time Grammy Award winning jazz legend Jon Hendricks, his amazing band, and a very special opening program by renowned concert pianist Awadagin Pratt. The mission of Healing, Harmony & Heart is to create a cultural connection between community and business through jazz, advancing awareness of multiple sclerosis and improving resources available to those affected by the disease.
All donations, sponsorships, and ticket sales are 100% tax deductible. General Admission tickets are $30 & the VIP Package is $75 (included a preferred concert seat & pass to pre-concert reception)
