Javon Jackson, tenor sax, with Benny Green, piano, Jimmy Cobb, drums, and Nat Reeves, acoustic bass. Leader and tenor saxophonist Jackson started his music career performing for three years with art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers where he played with the likes of Terrence Blanchard, Kenny Garrett, Wallace Roneyt, and Benny Green. He subsequently toured with Freddie Hubbard, Elvin Jones, Charlie Haden and Cedar Walton, did six recordings for Blue Note records. |
