Doug Lawrence, now based in Albuquerque, spent over 20 years as one of the most in-demand jazz musicians in New York City. He tours as the lead tenor saxophonist with the Count Basie Orchestra and has performed and recorded with Tony Bennett, Aretha Franklin, Nancy Wilson, Ray Charles, Jimmy Cobb and many others. Lawrence has performed on six continents at many major festivals, concert halls and jazz clubs. As well as Doug, the quartet will be comprised of Bob Fox (performing on a beautiful Steinway piano), Michael Olivola on bass and John Trentacosta on drums.
