Santa Fe Jazz

The goal of the Friends of Santa Fe Jazz is to provide more opportunity to enjoy jazz throughout the year, supplementing the summer offerings of the New Mexico jazz Festival.

Since the fall of 2006,we bring to Santa Fe national jazz artists to perform exclusively for our Friends group. Our jazz musicians list often includes artists who are touring and recording artists traveling with their groups. Other times we bring outstanding soloists who are paired with our area's own fine jazz players.

We now focus on producing turn key jazz events to benefit non profits in our community. Examples include a three event collaboration with the Santa Fe Concert Association to benefit the New Mexico School for the Arts, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and the Santa Fe Botanical Garden; a collaboration with the Santa Fe Symphony to establish a Jazz meets the Classics Fund; a collaboration with the New Mexico Museum of Art to benefit its Photography Department; and a multi-event series with the Museums of New Mexico Foundation at the Museum Hill Café to support the Santa Fe museums. We have also co-produced with the Harwood Museum in Taos, launching its jazz series in the new Bell Auditorium there

We don't advertise. We notify our members only by group email and there is no charge for a membership or need to make multi-performance subscription commitments. (Join the Friends of Santa Fe Jazz.) The size of our membership group and audiences mean that you can share our events with people you will meet and see time and again.

We are non profit and charge the least that we can to bring these outstanding jazz figures to Santa Fe to perform for small gatherings. We do ask once or twice a year for charitable tax deductible gift donations to help assure that we can continue to bring the artists you want to hear at an affordable cost. Donors ordering tickets in timely fashion receive preferred reserved seating at all events. We invite you to donate or become a jazz volunteer.
